Aquatec Maxcon provided all mechanical and electrical / control works for the upgrade to Douglas WTP Modules 1 – 4. The upgrade was comprised of the following main elements:

  • 140 tonne hydrated lime storage silo, dry feeding, slurry preparation and dosing system to four separate plant dosing points.
  • Carbon dioxide storage, gas dissolution and solution dosing system.
  • ACH coagulant bulk storage and dosing system.
  • Polymer filter aid batching, solution preparation and dosing system.
  • Service water pumping station and reticulation system.
  • On-line water quality analyser panels and associated sample water reticulation systems.
  • Filter upgrade works to Module 3 for change of operation to influent flow splitting plus constant level mode.
  • Filter upgrade works to Module 4 including inlet channel flocculation mixers and backwash system pressure relief system.
  • Process instrumentation.
  • Electrical and control works.
