The AquaBand is Aquatec Maxcon’s tried and tested solution for coarse screening based on a UK Water Research Institute (UKWRI) tested concept. Installed in a stainless steel housing is a 5 or 6 mm screen, rotated on an externally mounted drive, with screenings washed with high free-passage nozzles into a free draining stainless steel launder, the AquaBand is easy to install and operate, with high screenings capture and low maintenance, and is highly reliable.
With features such as:
- All fixings above the water line allowing installation and removal without draining or accessing the screening channel
- Adjustable width to suit channel widths from 650mm to 1700mm
- Suitable for either concrete or steel channel installations, either new or retrofitted
- Flow capacities based on model selection up to 1600 L/s per screen
- High surface area in flow path providing lower velocity and higher capture rates
- Able to be installed in duty/standby, duty/assist, or any other desired arrangement
- Readily able to be integrated into site PLC and SCADA systems for control and monitoring, or with local control panel for simplified installation
- Optional viewing and access windows made of UV resistant acrylic for easy monitoring
- High pore nozzles that reduce reliance on spray water quality, threaded for easy removal and reinstallation without specialised tools
- Intrinsic odour cover for corrosion prevention and operator safety, with flange provided for connection to site odour extraction network.
