Aquatec Maxcon are honoured to have Kingaroy Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) featured by the Netherlands Post on a set of six limited edition stamps that celebrates the relationship between the two countries and was released prior to the recent royal visit from the King and Queen of the Netherlands to Australia.

The series of stamps shows the role of the Netherlands in the discovery of Australia, alongside the emigration from the Netherlands to Australia and the exchange of knowledge between our countries.

The series includes other events such as the Amsterdam explorer Dirck Hartogh who set foot on Australian soil 400 years ago, to the 100,000th emigrant families on their way to Australia from Amsterdam in 1958, to the revolutionary Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope in Australia.

The stamps highlight the innovative Nereda® technology, developed by Royal HaskoningDHV, used in the Kingaroy WWTP for South Burnett Regional Council -  the first plant in Australia to make use of the sustainable Dutch technology.
