Quality Assurance
Aquatec-Maxcon has third party accreditation to ISO 9001:1994. Our Quality Manual is available for inspection at your request at any time
The Quality System is subject to regular ongoing audits at two levels:

> internal audits by the Quality Manager
> external audits by the JAS ANZ authority.

These audits are conducted in accordance with a predetermined audit schedule.

Aquatec-Maxcon is committed to Quality Assurance and achieving Continuous Improvement. To this end it implements a Project Quality Plan to AS/ISO 9001 for this project. The Quality Plan covers all subcontractors for QA and OHS&E and ensure that all the requirements of these areas are delivered correctly and on time.

Aquatec-Maxcon places particular emphasis on continued customer satisfaction and quality improvement as a means of providing increased value to the customer and measures this through our quality system.

Occupational Health and Safety
It is the aim of the company to protect all employees and visitors to the site as far as is possible by the elimination of hazards or by the taking of steps to isolate hazards and minimiise the risk.

Aquatec-Maxcon employs a specialist safety officer to implement our policy and ensure compliance with legislative requirements. This is usually undertaken through review of (or preparation of) a Health and Safety Plan as part of the Quality Plan for the construction.

All employees are required to be inducted into the company and undertake our OH&S training course. This addresses safe work practices, incident reporting and recording , injury management and rehabilitation, infection control, auditing and inspection procedures, consultative policy, hazardous substances, manual handling, electrical safety and isolation, confined space entry protective equipment, etc.

Site specific work instructions are developed in consultation with staff members and an ongoing program of training and internal auditing is maintained. The result of this is reported to the board by management.

Environmental Policy
Aquatec-Maxcon recognises the importance of environmental issues and in particular gives much status to the following:

> The impact of the project on the Global Environment.
> The potential impact of the construction methods on the general site environment and perimeter 'ripple' effect
> The potential impact of the end user on the facility with reguard to safety, easy functioning of operations and the general amenity of the work place.

Our objective is to maintain compliance with and exceed the requirements of the State and Federal environment obligations. This is achieved through design and implementation of specific environmental management plans for the construction phase.
We make our employees aware of their obligations and responsibilities and seek to develop an environment of environmental awareness which we see essential as much as water conservation, treatment and delivery are seen as integral parts of the environment by the community. This approach seeks to address all plant impacts including water, soil, and noise with specific emphasis on plant residuals.

All employees are given specific training concerning their environmental responsibilities and the performance of environmental measures are monitored. Regular environmental risk assessments are made.

Suppliers and subcontractors are also made aware of their obligations and held accountable through formal procedures.
